On April 30, 2025, eleven (11) private universities including the Tonnie Iredia University of Communication (TIUC) were licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria. At the point of licensing however, the year’s admission exercise by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had been concluded making it impossible for prospective students to pick the University despite its innovative and unique academic programmes.
The impasse has now been rectified with last week’s approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for TIUC to commence full academic operations with effect from the 2025/2026 academic session.
Accordingly, prospective students seeking expert education in communication and media- related disciplines are invited to apply for admission into the following programmes approved for the university this academic session.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
All interested candidates are advised to visit any JAMB accredited CBT to effect the necessary changes to Tonnie Iredia University of Communication (TIUC), Benin City. The Process ends on November 30, 2025.
