Kokunre Eghafona is a Professor of Anthropology with expertise in cultural resource management, museum studies, and qualitative research methodology.

She earned degrees from frontline Nigerian Universities of Benin, Ibadan, Nsukka as well as New York University and has been a professor of Anthropology at the University of Benin since 2008.

Her strength in community service is awesome; serving as an Academician of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences at the Vatican along with commendable contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals SDGs.

In 2014, she received a distinction for completing ‘The Age of Sustainable Development’ course from the Earth Institute at Columbia University, USA. With several accolades from her multi-disciplinary background of Historian, Sociologist, Anthropologist etc., Professor Eghafona has so much value to add to General Studies at TIUC
