



The Department of Advertising at TIUC provides students with a strong foundation in both the theory and practice of advertising. Our curriculum is designed to balance creativity, strategic thinking, and technological proficiency to meet the demands of today’s dynamic media environment.
in 4 years, Students will learn about:
Principles and history of advertising
Consumer psychology and market research
Branding, media planning, and campaign management
Digital and social media advertising strategies
Creative development (copywriting, design, and production)
Ethical standards and global perspectives in advertising
The department leverages state-of-the-art media labs, creative studios, and digital marketing platforms to give students hands-on experience in crafting impactful campaigns. With strong industry partnerships, students will also benefit from internships, guest lectures, and real-world projects.
Undergraduate Admission
Minimum of five (5) credit passes at O’Level (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB), including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
A satisfactory score in the UTME with subjects relevant to Mass Communication/Advertising.
Direct Entry applicants must have at least two A-Level passes, OND, NCE, or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the university.
Applicants awaiting results are encouraged to apply but must present results before final admission confirmation.
Postgraduate Admission (if applicable)
A Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Advertising, Marketing, or related fields, with at least a Second Class Lower Division from a recognized university.
Submission of official transcripts and references.
For Ph.D. applicants: a Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5/5.0 in a relevant field, plus a research proposal.
