A former Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Founder of the Tonnie Iredia University of Communication, Prof. Tonnie Iredia, OON, on Wednesday, 26th November 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed.

The NABTEB Registrar/Chief Executive Officer received the veteran broadcaster, lawyer, administrator, and academic at the Board’s national headquarters in Benin City, Edo State.

During the visit, Prof. Iredia held discussions with the Registrar/Chief Executive on areas of mutual interest to both institutions.

The engagement centered on strengthening synergy and exploring opportunities for institutional collaboration.

Prof. Iredia requested NABTEB’s partnership with his Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) and the newly established Tonnie Iredia University of Communication, noting that such collaboration would enhance capacity building and promote professionalism within related sectors.

In his response, Dr. Mohammed expressed the Board’s readiness to support collaborative initiatives that align with NABTEB’s mandate.

He assured the visiting scholar and media icon of the Board’s commitment to contributing to programmes that advance technical, vocational, and professional development in Nigeria.

The visit ended on a positive note, with both leaders expressing optimism about future cooperation.
